Businesses can use a single solution of their choice for invoicing with different parties (including businesses and government) and tax compliance.		Business efficiency is enhanced as the invoice data goes directly into the buyer’s accounting solution, thereby reducing manual data entry effort.
The invoices are reliably delivered over the secure InvoiceNow network based on international Peppol standard.		Businesses that have adopted the GST InvoiceNow Requirement can expect shorter GST audits and faster refunds (if assessed to be of lower risk).

GST InvoiceNow Requirement

GST-registered businesses will need to submit their invoice data to IRAS through InvoiceNow-Ready Solutions via the InvoiceNow network. The rollout of this requirement will be phased in as follows:

• From 1 November 2025 – Newly incorporated companies that voluntarily register for GST.

• From 1 April 2026 – All new voluntary GST registrants.

• In addition, IRAS encourages all GST-registered businesses, as well as those applying for GST registration on or after 1 May 2025, to begin transmitting their invoice data via the InvoiceNow network using InvoiceNow-Ready Solutions.

Over time, mandatory participation will also be extended to new compulsory GST registrants and existing GST-registered businesses. IRAS will continue engaging industry stakeholders and reviewing feedback before finalizing and announcing further implementation details.
